Extra Credit!
For this extra credit assignment, we used Adobe Illustrator program. We used 4 main colors, as seen in the picture above. We used the rectangle and ellipse tool a lot, and we used certain filter effects, such as round corners, distortion and warp. We first created the lamp and chair, then the desk, flowers, cabinet with the clock bowl and base, and finally the bookshelves and the cactus plant.

Illustrator Takeaway.
During my time in using Adobe Illustrator, I learned a lot of things. I learned how to use a lot of the tools in Illustrator to make electronics like a flash drive and a wireless phone. It was pretty awesome because I never thought I could actually make a realistic electronic using a computer program. I used the rectangle, ellipse and offset path tool a lot in making these two electronics.
#20- Test
For this assignment, students had to create a wireless phone using Adobe Illustrator. First, we created the base using the rectangle tool and the round corners tool. The offset path tool was used a lot in making this wireless phone. Then, we made the screen of the phone using the rectangle tool again, and applied certain filters and colors to it to make it look realistic. Then, we added certain things to the screen to make it look realistic, like a message and call notification. Then, we added the keypad using the rectangle tool again. After that we had to add the symbols to the keypad. After that we then had to start the buttons by off path and and adjust the button to make them look real. Then we added the speakers on the top and the microphone on the bottom. Then we grouped all of it together and the wireless phone was complete.

Assignment #19
First, for this assignment, we used Adobe Illustrator. First, we used the rectangle tool and the ellipse tool to make the body of the flash drive. Then we applied gradient options to them. Then, we applied certain effects and created two new rectangles using the rectangle tool, with one of them being smaller than the other. We applied gradient effects on them as well. Then we used the pen tool to draw lines in between the two rectangles at the top to make it look more like a flash drive. Then, we used the rounded rectangle tool to make the inner body of the flash drive, and applied certain gradient effects on it. Then we added text, and it came out like that.

Wrapping up photoshop!
In this unit of Photoshop, I learned a ton of things. I've been able to make awesome changes to certain pictures, even mad a still car seem as if its moving. From each of the assignments (3-18), I've learned something.
#3 - I learned how to apply different filters to the same picture.
#4 - I learned how to make a postcard using Photoshop's different layers.
#5a - I learned how to apply opacity to shapes.
#5b - I learned how to color in something using Photoshop.
#5c - I learned how to color tint ( same as coloring in but with a different tool) in something using Photoshop.
#6a - I learned how to use the gradient tool to make a chick.
#6b - I learned how to make my own gradient creation.
#6c - I learned how to make my own rainbow colored cover using different layers properties, filters and blending options.
#7 - I learned how to make my own gradient background using my name, combining gradient with layer properties.
#8 - I learned how to photo fill my name; having a background come out in the letters of my last name.
#9 - I learned how to make a sort of plastic text effect, combining different layer properties together.
#10 - I learned how to make a crazy name text effect, using different layer properties and blending options.
#11 - I learned how to make a club flyer combining the plastic, crazy name, and photo fill text effect.
#12 - I learned how to combine a texture with a suit using different layer and blending options.
#13 - I learned how to make a mimic poster, and to substitute in something healthy in place of something unhealthy.
#14 - I learned how to make my own jack'o' lantern using layer and blending options.
#15a - I learned how to make a flag seem as if it's painted on a brick wall using filters and displacement.
#15b - I learned how to make a flag seem as if it's painted on a face using filters and displacement.
#16 - I learned how to make a still car seem as if it's moving using filter motion blur.
#17- I learned how to add a quick mask effect; to select something easily and more precisely using the quick mask and brush tools.
#18 - I learned how to make a soft skin glow effect, and for this assignment I added filter effects and using a tool I brushed away parts I wanted to stand out.
#3 - I learned how to apply different filters to the same picture.

18
For this assignment, we added a soft focus effect. First, we turned on the convert for smart filters option, and then we applied the blur gaussian filter effect. Then we changed the layer options from normal to screen, and the whole picture lighted up. Then, we used the brush tool to brush out certain points to make them stand out, everything except the skin. The before and after is above.

17. Quick Mask
For this assignment, I got a picture of yellow teeth. After I turned on quick mask mode, I used the brush tool to select a layer. Then I switched the foreground colors, and I wiped away the mistakes with the brush. Afterwards, after clicking select, I used inverse. The before, quick mask and after are above.

#16
First, for this assignment, students got a picture of something mobile that was not moving. Then we added the filter effect motion blur. Then, we used the brush tool to brush out the filter effects in a certain area, and the result is above.

14. Jack-O'-Lantern
First, I got a spooky background picture and a pumpkin picture. Then I used the pen tool to make eyes, eyebrows, a nose, and a mouth for the pumpkin. Then I changed the blending options and the result was the shining eyes, nose and mouth. I then used the free-form pen to write my initials on the side of the pumpkin. On a new layer, I wrote Think Halloween! Using the brush tool, I made it seem as if the pumpkin itself was shining and underneath was a sort of orange and white light. The end result is above.
13. Mimic Poster
I first put a gradient background and got a picture of m&m's and then used the magnetic lasso tool to merge it with another layer. Then I got pictures of something healthy, which in this case are strawberries. I put the strawberries over the m&m's using certain Photoshop tools. Then I used a slogan and put the NYC Food Bank logo in.

12. Texture Layer by Muhammad Haq
In this assignment, students found a picture of a suit and a texture they liked. They followed the steps in the texture with layer modes tutorial, and they added the texture layer to the suit. It came out like that.
11. Club flyer
We had to use Photoshop to make a club flyer. In this case I used the track team and added the photo-filled text effect, and in one I added drop shadow, inner shadow, outer and inner glow, bevel and emboss, color overlay, gradient overlay, pattern overlay, satin and stroke. It gave out a really peculiar result. In another I did the same except I didn't add the satin and stroke.Monday, October 20, 2014
